I was alerted to this bit of news by a pending comment in my que from some delusional nutbag claiming Franklin was murdered Oslo-style by leftwing hate-mongers (because, after this past weekends’ tragedy there’s nothing like wild speculation and stereotyping to make people look extremely ass-holey).
Franklin, known for his strong anti-gay, anti-abortion stances , was found dead at his home, and no cause has yet been released. I am sorry for his family’s loss and wish that his absence from politics were due to simple retirement rather than death – he was a crazy misogynistic old bastard, but I did not wish him dead – but I am not going to play hypocrite and pretend that I will be sorry to see his lunacy no longer presented in legislative form. If there is an afterlife, I hope God has more mercy on his soul than he showed for the well-being of his constituents.
