Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler R-(tard), Missouri, has never seen Barack Obama’s birth certificate for herself, but she’s “read this and read that” and, you know, kind of wonders about it just like her moron constituents who have also “read this and read that” about Area 51, the Bermuda Triangle, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the link between Insurance Coverage for Contraceptives and the Eternal Sluttiness of the Liberal Mind, and so she hopped right on that Birther Train to Stupidville at a recent State Fair Community College town hall meeting .
“I have a lot of doubts about all that. But I don’t know, I haven’t seen it. I’m kind of, I’m just at the same place you are on that. You read this, you read that. But I don’t understand why he didn’t show that right away. I mean, if someone asked for my birth certificate, I’d get my baby book and hand it out and say ‘Here it is.’”
“I have doubts that it is really his real birth certificate, and I think a lot of Americans do, but they claim it is, so we are just going to go with that,” Hartzler told the Sedalia Democrat‘s Dennis Rich in a post-town hall interview.
Hartzler declined to say whether she believes Obama is a U.S. citizen, calling the issue “irrelevant” and said people should “focus attention on his specific policies and not his birth certificate.”
“I have plenty of disagreements with his policies,” she said.
It always seems to be the standard operating procedure for GOP members to publicly say they doubt Obama’s birth certificate is real and they doubt he’s a true citizen and then immediately say that that is not what people should focus on, but instead question his policies.
Yeah, right.
