Lots of douchebagginess slipped through the cracks last week………………… here’s a roundup of some things I didn’t get to because, KIDS!!!!!!!!.
I know Brad Pitt’s star lost some of its luster for some when his marriage to America’s Bland-Ass Sweetheart Jennifer Aniston broke up and he absconded* with Noted Freak-a-Dik and Globetrotting Child Collector Angelina Jolie, but I still like the dude both as an actor and as an activist…….. which is why I feel bad for him right now. He has been a very vocal ally for LBGT rights, and now his mother has announced to the world that she is a Douchebag Homophobe and Religious Discriminator for Mitt Rmoney.
Via the Springfield Missouri News Leader:
I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,” June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.
But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.
Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.
I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.
Editor’s note: To clear up earlier confusion, the News-Leader has verified the letter writer is the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt.
Everyone knew Angelina’s dad is a blithering conservative nutbag, – now Brad’s mom has outed herself, too.
Thanksgiving at the Pitt/Jolie house is going to be awkward. Parents, huh?
Here in my home state of South Carodumbass, Governor Nikki Haley Decided to trim funding for the arts in our state. And by trim, I mean TOTALLY KILL FUNDING ACROSS THE BOARD. Along with the budgets for other items like a North Myrtle Beach museum, preserving African-American history sites in Charleston, money to bolster teacher salaries across the state, and preserving the nation’s first community of freed slaves in Beaufort County (because hey, we need that money to preserve the rich history of the Confederate Flag that people rallied behind in order to KEEP those slaves!!!) Haley deemed wasteful earmarks , Governor Haley vetoed the ENTIRE budget for the South Carolina Arts Commission, which in turn led to them shuttering their doors today. With no money they cannot pay staff or complete projects and until the legislature votes on Haley’s vetoes, they are in flux. Being a dancer, this REALLY chaps my ass, as Haley has effectively screwed with the livelihoods, passions, and futures of MANY talented people and many worthwhile organizations I know and have worked with personally. One example is the Columbia City Jazz Dance Company, run by the immensely talented and inspirational Dale Lam, who posted this to the CCJDC Book of Faces page:
Word has just gotten to me that Governor Haley has vetoed the ENTIRE budget for the S.C. Arts Commission. I am imploring ALL of you to call, write, or email your legislative representative NOW to be sure they overturn this veto later this month.
Let’s look at what the funding we receive does … Here’s just a few milestone accompaniments of the Columbia City Jazz Dance Company over the last six or seven months:
Sold out three performances of “The Two Claras”, bringing close to 1200 individuals into the downtown. Columbia area, many of which patronized local restaurants and businesses before or after the performances, adding far more money into the local economy than we received in ticket sales. Additionally, we donated a number of tickets to the Boys and Girls club and other similar entities.
Was proud to see two senior company members make it all the way into the final 36 dancers selected for So You Think You Can Dance – out of thousands that auditioned.
Is proud to announce that another senior company member auditioned for and was accepted into the London School of Contemporary Dance. She leaves at the end of August to start her training in the UK.
Two male senior dancers have accepted contracts to tour Europe with Rasta Thomas’ ” Bad Boys of Dance”. They leave for Maryland in October to start training for the tour.
Successfully produced a 5 day summer dance training intensive with internationally known master instructors. The intensive was attended by students from around 10 different states, plus a group from Costa Rica. Since most of the dancers attending are under age, they travel with at least one family member. Counting hotel rooms, meals, and such, this single event pumped over $45,000 into the local economy, almost 7 times the grant amount we received last year.
Without the support from the arts commission, those accomplishments would NOT have been possible. Private support is simply not there for a small entity like us.
What do I eliminate next season? The education we provide isn’t worthy of support? Believe me, some of our students would be on the street in gangs if not for what we do for them. The money that goes back into the economy because of our programs mean nothing? The small amount of grant funds we receive is returned back into the economy MANY times over. You get that kind of return from the stock market? Don’t think so.
What part of the simple economics of the arts industry doesn’t our governor get? She has no idea of the consequences of her actions, nor does she seem to care.
This travesty needs to be stopped and stopped NOW. We will all be less human without the arts.
I have had the extreme privilege as a dance instructor to attend her workshops and have her set pieces for my students, and to watch her students travel the world and perform in various venues across the nation. She provides these students with AMAZING opportunities to learn, grow, perform, and be seen by the community at large AND by top members of the dance community, and Nikki Haley just cut the feet out from under these kids, and lots of other performers across the state. The Charleston Ballet just got rid of a board of directors that was chock full of Haley agents who were working to destroy the company from the inside out. The attacks on the arts from the right are just astounding to me, considering how many of them love to dress to the nines and be seen at arts galas. Dancers and musicians and artists have become the new “negro entertainment” for the right………they enjoy the show, they just don’t want to deal with them outside of the venue.
Even more ironic, Haley has struck allocations for the South Carolina GOVERNOR’s School for the Arts and Humanities, also, to the tune of -$1.2 million toward boosting enrollment at the Governor’s School of Science & Math and-$1.25 million for construction at the Governor’s School for Arts & Humanities. WTF?????? The school , which was first suggested by founder Dr. Virginia Uldrick in 1995 and championed by conservative darling Governor Carroll Campbel in 1996, opened its doors in 1999 to serve outstanding arts and humanities students across the state, to better prepare them for the college pursuit of their chosen fields. Nikki Haley just said a big fat “FUCK YOU” to the school named for her office.
WHAT A FUCKING MORON.
STOP THIS SHIT.
Even the douchebag who posted it on Youtube did so with the following disclaimer, because they KNOW they are full of shit:
“The writers, producers, and editors of this video are not claiming or implying that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim, or that Obama said he was a Muslim, rather they are only examining the evidence surrounding the rumor that Barack Hussein Obama might be a secret Muslim.”
JUST CAN’T.

DC. Thought you’d like to know that one of the largest Baptist churches in the country, the 1st Baptist of Jacksonville FL is having their creationist bible School now complete with dinosaur and Adam/Eve exhibits since the dinosaurs were wiped out by Noah’s flood and all. The Flintstones was a documentary don’t you know
Oh my. Are they planning a pilgrimage to the Creation Museum in Kentucky, for “educational” purposes????
I bet they think “Land of the Lost” was a documentary series.
So, in the video clip, is that the birther queen, but with a different name under her image. It sounds like her (and I hate that I know what her dumb mouth sounds like.)
But the really terrible news is what you have relayed about all of the funding cuts to the arts. What is wrong with Niki Haley and everyone who thinks like her? We can only hope that she does not get re-elected and that the teabagger error comes to a quick end. Way too optimistic on my part…
I understand that the Creation Museum has fallen on hard financial times. Damn, dare we hope?
Nikki Haley is the worst. No, wait. Jan brewer is the worst. If these 2 get reelected AZ and SC no longer get to be states.
Our “#1 employee of Nephron Pharmeceuticals”, Darling Nikki, also cut the funding for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention, Coz it’s “a distraction”, doncha know, from important stuff.
